Moving away from the traditional indicators, a recent\u00a0article<\/a>\u00a0by Caroline Gasc argues that argues that \u201cthere are fast, yet efficient and sustainable ways to aim at\u00a0Peak Performance and Growth\u00a0<\/em>and it all starts by measuring the current situation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gasc\u2019s method is built from\u00a0TCI\u2019s (Team Coaching International)<\/a>\u00a0two dimensional approach (each\u00a0measured by 7 Performance Indicators). Basically, there is the Team Positivity and Team Performance. The intersection between the two is where you reach \u201cPeak performance\u201d<\/p>\n

But\u2026 How do you promote peak performance?<\/p>\n

Collect your team\u2019s performance score<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Well, as the article points out, if you don\u2019t measure it, you can\u2019t manage it and you certainly can\u2019t change it. You can start promoting peak performance by collecting your team\u2019s performance score, which you then communicate to the whole team.<\/p>\n

Even if you know where the team is performing well and where they need to improve, if you don\u2019t share it with them you can\u2019t expect them to change! Thus, it is important to encourage communication and collaboration; which allows for a better understanding of areas for improvement. It can also lead the team to come up with their own improvement suggestions.<\/p>\n

Implement the action plan to foster your team\u2019s engagement<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Next, while team performance is important to measure, it is essential to identify and implement the action plan to foster your team\u2019s engagement\u00a0to reach\u00a0your higher goals. Once you have started to implement your improvement actions, you have to make sure they are delivering the expected\u00a0result. Using a tool like\u00a0smartcockpit<\/a>\u00a0that allows you to connect your indicators with actions, you can have a visual overview of action\u2019s impact on performance.<\/p>\n
